Hello

Welcome to my website! I'm thrilled that you've taken the time to visit. My name is Marlene, and I’m passionate about quilting and all things fiber art. I specialize in custom long arm quilting, transforming quilt tops into beautiful, finished works of art. Thank you for stopping by to learn more about my journey and the creative work I love.

My Story

My mother, an English Literature major, expressed her creativity through writing, so sewing was not a tradition in our family. However, she encouraged me to find my own passion, leading me through various artistic adventures including painting, woodworking, stained glass, scrapbooking, mixed media, and more.

Then I discovered a needle and thread, and my true passion was born!

I started incorporating threads and sewing into my scrapbooking and mixed media projects, which soon led me to explore embroidery and cross-stitching. This journey culminated in my love for fiber and cloth.

With a needle, thread, and fabric, a quilter was born!

I have been quilting for over 30 years, initially finishing my quilts on a domestic sewing machine. My love for Free Motion Quilting led me to upgrade to a larger throat model, allowing for greater creativity. However, maneuvering large quilt tops remained a challenge. In 2018, I invested in a Gammill long arm machine and haven't looked back since!

As a mother of three boys, I run my business from home. My Quilt Studio is my haven, where I find joy and inspiration, whether piecing, quilting, or simply enjoying the creative space.

In addition to quilting, I continue to enjoy other needle arts such as embroidery, cross-stitch, and needle punch, and I dabble in mixed media whenever I can.
